Clayton Earl Ericksen of Eugene, formally of Astoria died November 3, 2014. He was 76. Clayton was born December 7, 1937 in Portland, Oregon to Leif and Lucille (Ransom) Ericksen.
Clayton Graduated from Astoria high school in 1955 and then went on to college graduating from Linfield College in 1959. He continued his education at California College of Mortuary Science Los Angeles and graduated in 1960.
His career work included working at Hughes-Ransom Mortuary in Astoria and Seaside as a funeral director/embalmer, American Guarantee Life Insurance Company for several years, and worked at Puget Sound Casket Company as the regional sales manager.
Clayton is survived by his brother Leif Ericksen of Beaverton, OR; two daughters, Marian Painter of Astoria and Marsha Nichols of Portland; a son, Michael Ericksen of Eugene; step-son, Craig Johnson of Salem; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
