Curt was born February 20, 1988 in Lakewood, WA to Phillip Hullender and Terrie Kloster, who survive. His father resides in Seaside, his step-mother, Theresa Hullender, resides in Gearhart; his mother and her husband, Brian Kloster, reside in Astoria. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lawrence Hullender and William Smith.
Curt grew up in Gearhart, Oregon. He attended Gearhart Elementary, Broadway Middle School and Seaside High School. While in school, he loved being a part of a team. Curt participated in Soccer, Wrestling, Track and Field, Baseball, Cross Country and Football while he was growing up.
Curt was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a logger for three years.
Family members said his hobbies included traveling, skateboarding, music and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by three sisters, Shana Hullender of Gearhart, Stephanie Hullender of Long Beach, WA, and Rebekah Furubotten of Portland; and two grandmothers, Patricia Hullender of Seaside and Betty Smith of Gig Harbor, WA.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 26 at Hughes-Ransom Mortuary, 220 N Holladay Dr Seaside.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 29 at North Coast Family Fellowship, 2245 N. Wahanna, Seaside. A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery at Beerman Creek Road, Seaside.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ABC Recovery Center in Indio, California.
