Donna Lynn Pomeroy

Donna Lynn Pomeroy, age 78, of Svensen, Oregon, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2023. She was born on September 18, 1944, in West Orange, New Jersey, to Philip J Monahan II and Mary Lynn-Monahan.

Donna grew up in West Orange and attended school there. On November 27, 1965, she married the love of her life, Richard W Pomeroy, in New Jersey.  After Marriage, the couple lived in California, and eventually moved to Svensen, Oregon, in 1984.

In 1991 Donna received her associates degree in English from Clatsop Community College, after which she worked at the college as the administrative assistant to the president.  She was a devoted employee who served the college for many years, retiring in 1999.

Donna was a devout Christian who found solace in her faith. She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, and card making in her spare time.  Her creativity and attention to detail were evident in all her projects.

Donna cherished spending time with her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband Richard. Her siblings’ sister Eileen and brother in-law Russ Kovacevich, her brother Philip III and sister in-law Bernadette Monahan, and brother Jim Monahan.  Sons’ Eric Pomeroy, Mike, and her daughter in-law Toni Pomeroy.  Grandchildren Tawny Anthony, Sean Pomeroy, Jacob Pomeroy, Mercedes Pomeroy, and Christopher Pomeroy.  Great grandchildren Astraea, Adalyn, Joel, and Sterling.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 11:00am on June 10^th, 2023, at the Warrenton Community Center located at 170 SW Third St, Warrenton, OR.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Columbia Memorial Hospice or Clatsop County Animal Shelter.
