Edith Leroy Teixeira was born in Spokane, Washington on June 28, 1933 to Claude & Liberty Frances Patten. Edith grew up in Montana and went on to marry Ed Teixeira in Portland, Oregon. The couple moved to Hawaii to live and raise their children. Edith worked for many years as a waitress and regularly attended the local Catholic Church. She loved her family very much and it's said that she always had a smile for everyone. Edith will be fondly remembered for her love of music, singing and dancing. Edith Teixeira passed from this life on July 24, 2017 in Seaside, Oregon. Edith was preceded in death by her mother, Liberty Parish; sister, Cecilia (Kelly) & daughter, Nicole Teixeira. She is survived by her sons living in HI, Scott Kranson (Deborah) & Casey Teixeira, and Bryon Kranson of OR; her brothers & sisters Fred Weiler (Linda) of ID, James Weiler (Sharon), of OR, Mike Weiler of WA, Skip Slayton (Connie) of WA, Roni Slayton (K.C.) of WA, Kelsi Yorke of WI, and Robin Parish of WA. She also had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. No formal funeral services are planned at this time. In accordance with her wishes, Edith's family plan to take her cremated remains to Hawaii to be scattered.
