Jan Jorgen Schultz (March 4, 1952 to August 7, 2024) of Astoria Oregon, was a loving, dedicated to his family and a community man.
Jan was born and raised on Schultz Lane. He raised his 3 girls within the clatsop county area ultimately returning to his homestead. He loved his farm animals, especially his goats. He never met a stranger and befriended everyone he met. When Jan started talking, you would know by the end of the conversation all about his children, grandchildren and his dog Duke. Everybody knew him as a kind person, from the bank teller to the grocery store clerk, to the random person walking down the street and many others. Jan was a man that never turned down food, he was always willing to eat! He was passionate about his ever revolving gun collection and loved to target practice with family. Affectionately known as “going plinking.”
He loved flirting with nurses and pretty women. Jan was loved by so many.
Jan was a welding instructor at Clatsop Community College as well as Tongue Point Job Corps after being a welder at K Manufacturing for years. He loved his job and students. He was passionate about teaching and watching those succeed. He made a huge impact on people's lives.
