Joyce A. Vandervort, 83, of Astoria, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, in Astoria.
She was born March 30, 1929, in Helena, Mont., to Bill and Evelyn (Middleton) Bladey.
She married Don Vandervort. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Vandervort was a homemaker. She lived in Astoria for 40 years.
Family members said she was an avid collector of unique salt and pepper shakers, ashtrays and Elvis memorabilia.
She is survived by a son, Bill Vandervort of Springfield; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Larry Owens, Frank Vandervort and Donny Ray.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Greenwood Cemetery.
