Julee May Nelson passed away suddenly on October 8, 2022 at the age of 25. Born in Portland Oregon to Lee Alvin Nelson and Christy Lynn Nelson, Julee grew up in Gresham Oregon. Julee was a loving daughter, sister, mother, granddaughter, aunt and friend. Her sweet spirit, kind heart and honorable nature will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Julee loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking meals for everyone to enjoy together. She was especially happy when her loved ones were all together at the table enjoying her grilled cheese, roast chicken or lasagna. Her artistry extended beyond the kitchen into making beautiful pottery bowls for her mother, and also painting and drawing special creations which she gifted to her loved ones. Julee also felt a strong connection with horses throughout her life, and enjoyed spending time in the arena and outdoors riding the calm horses and leaving the feisty ones with her mom and her sister. Julee liked spending time in the garage with her dad and brothers, getting greasy working on cars and learning how to do maintenance on her own car, such as changing the tires and oil. As a child, Julee enjoyed nature walks at the beach and forest hikes with her family picking up shells, leaves and pinecones. This love for nature and the beach lasted throughout her life. (Did we mention she really loved the beach?!)
Most of all, Julee adored being a mother. Her daughters, Timber and Gracee, were her greatest joy in life. Some of the things she loved to do with them included going to the beach, shopping and baking. We know she will continue to watch over them from her place in Heaven.
Julee is now enveloped by the love of Jesus, and joins her grandparents Janet and Leo Nelson, great grandparents Betty and Pauldo Barira, her Aunt Joann and many others who passed before her. She is survived by her daughters Timber Martin and Gracee, siblings Chris, Nathan and Naomi Nelson, parents Lee and Christy Nelson, as well as her grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
A service will be held for Julee Saturday, October 29th, 2022 at 2pm. Please park at the Jewell School 83874 Hwy 103 Jewell, Oregon 97138. Due to limited parking, guests will be shuttled to the venue from the Jewell School. Boots are recommended as this will be in a barn.
