Kayla Lynn Weber May 10, 1990 June 10, 2017 Kayla Lynn Weber was tragically killed on June 10, 2017, in Gearhart by a drunk driver. She was born on May 10, 1990, in Portland. She lived in Arizona for six years before returning to the Portland area. With her mother, Kayla moved to Seaside in 2006 and attended Seaside High School. In 2011, she attended Job Corps in Astoria and then in San Jose, California. She later became a residential advisor at Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria. It was a job she loved. She really enjoyed working with the students, even tutoring them in math. Kayla had a passion for life and loved music, photography, astronomy and art. From the time she was a little girl, she had a passion for animals, even volunteering and fostering cats for an animal rescue for the six years she lived in Arizona. Kayla had the ability to make people smile. Her giggle was well known to her family and friends. She loved rainbows, flying kites and taking photos of the amazing Oregon coast sunsets. Kayla is survived by her mother, Lorelei "Lori" Weber of Seaside; grandmother Betty; uncles Barry, Steve and Lonny; aunts Gail (Daniel) Swagger and Karen (Rainer) Davis; Great-Aunt Diane Morris; numerous cousins and many friends across the United States. She also leaves behind her cats, Bentley and Mercedes. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Dohaney. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Kayla's name to the Clatsop County Animal Shelter, 1315 SE 19th, Warrenton, 97146. A celebration of life will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Bob Chisholm Community Center, 1225 Avenue A in Seaside. All family and friends are invited to come and celebrate Kayla.
