She was the second born of 4 children. she spent most of her childhood in Walnut Creek, California, before relocating to Astoria, Oregon then Seaside Oregon at Neawanna by the Sea. Kirsten sought a Degree in Fashion Design in her early years working 30+years as a Fashion designer and Pattern maker in Oakland, Ca. And San Francisco, California. She was very successful, then one day decided to further her education to go on to getting her Bachelors in Elementary teaching. She focused on Art therapy intertwined with everyday class work. She dreamed of teaching the young through difficult situations, with the therapy of Art in many forms. She always used to say, “ Fashion before comfort”, so to see her move to teaching was a very exciting time in her life.
She loved traveling by herself and with family, she had a deep love of Cats also! Many Cats and their adventures
Kirsten was blessed during a difficult time in her life battling mental illness, she was able during her therapy to teach classes at Clatsop Behavior Health Day-Center in Art creating things others could use during their recovery as well. She met some longtime friends Steven and Candy “Thank-You both so very much for your parts in her life.” Through the years she built relationships with many caregivers that blessed her in so many ways more than just heath care, Joseph at Winter-lite Adult Foster Care and Maria at Caring for the Coast in Astoria.
