Lois May Stuwe, 81 died Sunday, Sept 2, 2012 in Astoria, OR. She was born March 22, 1931 in Jamestown ND to William and Myrtle Pond.
In June, 1974 she married Robert Stuwe in Reno, NV. Robert survives and lives in Warrenton, OR. Lois was a homemaker after moving to Oregon, and prior to retiring in 1973 she owned a gardening/landscape nursery.
In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by a daughter, Karen Stuwe of Vancouver, WA, a son, Carles Kook of Salem, OR, two granddaughters, Shannon Sewell of Camas, WA and Angela Robertson of Vancouver, WA. and 4 great grandchildren.
Lois enjoyed her life in Warrenton, Oregon with her husband Bob for the past 39 years. In her own words, 'these were the best years of her life'. She loved sailing with Bob and family members on their 29' Cascade sailboat that Bob built in 1972. Lois loved to go fishing and take off in the RV with Bob up the Hood Canal and Puget Sound area.
Lois adored her two granddaughters and spent as much time as she could with them. Lois had a wonderful, generous, and happy spirit, and that spirit will live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
No funeral is planned.
