Peter passed away at home in Seaside, Oregon surrounded by family on November 1, 2024, at the age of 88.

Born in Portland, Oregon, on December 29, 1935, Peter was the third child and the first generation born in the United States to Thomas and Christalea Argeris from Greece.

He grew up in the Portland area with his parents, Sister Mary and Brother Jim. He graduated from Jefferson High School then served in the Army.

In 1965 Peter met then married LaVona (Locke) in Portland, Oregon. Together they had two sons Andrew and John. Peter also gained a bonus son Danny.

Making candy was Peter's 1st work passion. He and LaVona bought the Portland Candy Company before relocating with their 3 sons in 1971 to establish the Oregon Candy Farm in Sandy, Oregon at the foot of MNT Hood.

Peter moved to Seaside, around 1981 when he purchased the City Center Motel.

Peter would travel weekly to Portland, bowling with friends that he's had since his younger years. Peter was very proud of the time he bowled a 300, which qualified him to compete at an amateur Pro Bowl Tournament.

During one of his weekly trips to bowl he met Fely. Peter and Fely would marry in 1988.

Peter sold the City Center Motel in the early 90's.

Quickly discovering his 2nd work passion. Driving School Busses for the Seaside School District.

The students were great at keeping him happy, young and on his toes. Here is where Peter made more friendships that would last a lifetime. Peter retired after 25 years.

Peter will be remembered for his love of family, hard work, big smile, great candy, sense of humor, bowling, and huge personality, giving him the ability to speak to anyone and leave a smile.

Peter is survived by his wife Fely Argeris, Seaside. Son Andy and Daughter-in-law Sherri Argeris, Seaside. Son John Argeris, Seaside. Granddaughters Katie and Amanda Argeris, Seaside. Great-grandson Brennan Argeris, Seaside. He also has several Nieces and Nephews in Oregon and Arizona.

Peter was proceeded in death and welcomed with open arms by his son Danny, Brother Jim,

Sister Mary and parents Tom and Christalea.
