Viella (Marge Howe) Evans, 77, of Astoria, Oregon, went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2013.
She was born January 15, 1936, to Lawrence (Babe) and Grace DeBeni.
She is survived by sons Randall Howe (Jeri) of Vancouver, WA, and Gordon Howe (Debby) of Ridgefield; daughter Alice Howe Chaloux (Ron) of Warrenton; grandsons Randall Howe, Scott Howe; granddaughters, Kristen Howe McCargish, Naunie Howe OBrien, Katie Howe Casey, Christy Chaloux Coulombe, Amanda Chaloux Albright, Amy Chaloux; great-grandchildren Patricia Howe, Madison Howe, Natalie and Olivia McCargish, Tyler and Kaitlyn OBrien, Delilah and Michaela Casey, Hayden, Gabe, and Ezra Albright; brother Frank DeBeni, sister Helen Chapman (Ernie) and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sons Roy and Ron Howe; grandsons Brandon Howe and Marc Weiber; granddaughter Chelsea Howe; brother Lawrence DeBeni, and sister Alice Zelenak.
She moved here from Eureka, CA, when she married Gordon Howe in 1955. They were married 20 years.
She was a very hard worker, and loved playing bingo, crocheting, and word searches. She had many talents, such as playing songs on the piano despite never having lessons, refinishing furniture, and ceramics for many years with her dear friend Delores Davis, who also preceded her in death.
Viewing is Sept. 19, 2-5 p.m., at Hughes-Ransom Mortuary, 576 12th St., Astoria, OR 97103.
A celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 20 at Hughes Ransom Mortuary in Astoria, followed by interment at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton, then a reception at the Warrenton Community Center, 170 S.W. Third St. in Warrenton.
