Fritz (Nana/Nanny) Perry, 79, of Svensen, went home to her Lord, with her family by her side, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014. Fritz was born Nov. 30, 1934, to Claude and Ethel Peterson in Corwith, Iowa.
She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Wash., in 1953. She married the love of her life, David Perry, Feb. 19, 1955. On their next anniversary, Fritz and Dave would have celebrated 60 years of wedded bliss.
Fritz worked as a bookkeeper and teller until the birth of her first daughter. She then decided to stay home and raise her girls.
Fritz enjoyed working in her yard and beautiful flowerbeds, watching all sporting events on TV, purchasing interesting items she saw on QVC, creating and working jigsaw puzzles from pictures of her family on the computer, and sitting next to the fire and reading.
She always was on the go and liked to stay busy. She was a bargain hunter and always seemed to have a coupon for everything. Fritz was excellent with numbers and always balanced her checkbook to the penny. Fritz and Dave have had many dear friends whom they hold close to their hearts and are considered family.
Fritz loved her family with all her heart. She doted on her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. They were her joy and the light of her life. Nanny never missed an event her girls or grandkids participated in.
She loved her community and her church family. She had a take charge attitude and always put everyone's needs before her own. She will be remembered for her strength, generosity and willingness to help in anyway she could, her sweetness, love for the Lord, and her warm and loving hugs.
Fritz is survived by her husband David; daughter Lori Tetlow and her husband Tom; daughter Heidi Barendse and her husband Spike; seven grandchildren, Dana and Ange Barendse, Nikki and D'laney Jo Barendse, Cammy, Claire and Erin Tetlow; three great-grandchildren, Axel, Aspen and Drex; and the Dorvinen and Weaver families as special honorary family members.
Her family would love to invite you to her memorial service at Crossroads Community Church on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at 1 p.m., with coffee and desserts after. Contributions could be made to the Knappa Food Bank.
"If there ever comes a day where we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever."
